how commissions work
To explore a commissioned artwork, please reach out through the contact form to explore the possibilities.
1. Agreement
We define the scope, technical details, and budget, including the artwork, framing or matting options, shipping, and timeframe. A deposit of 20% confirms the commission and initiates the process.
2. Proposal Presentation
I present three to five sketches and moodboards, offering a sense of shape, colour, and composition. Once a concept is chosen, a further 30% of the artwork price is due. Deposits are non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances.
3. Final Delivery
You will be informed when the artwork is ready. The remaining balance, along with shipping costs, is due upon delivery, completing the commission and allowing the work to take its place in the space.
